Our school holds on-water trips together with instruction and beginner paddle board training. Class duration-1.5-2.5 hours. Instructors will fully equip you for an exciting trip, providing a wetsuit, reef slippers, lycra, paddleboard and a paddle. We recommend to take: swimming trunks / swimsuit (to wear it under a wetsuit), towel, waterproof sunscreen and drinking water.

Paddle boarding originated more than 3,000 years ago in the Peru area. Local fishermen used board boats similar to paddle-boards, to move around and catch fish. They called them “Caballito de Totora ” – which means “horses”. The name was due to the effect of motion sickness, similar to the one of the rider. As a sport, paddle boarding took off in around 40-ies of the 20th century. To enhance the speed and sight range, instructors and surfing lifeguards stood on the board, picking up the paddle. This way popped quickly and developed into a separate sport. The founder of paddle surfing is considered to be John Zapotocky, who, being in his 90-ies, can’t resist surfing.
